New Music: Bridget Kelly ft. Kendrick Lamar – Street Dreamin

Bridget Kelly is keeping those hot records coming! This time, she’s linked up with Kendrick Lamar for Funkmaster Flex’s new Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? mixtape, which is expected to drop later this month. The track, titled, ‘Street Dreamin,’ is reminiscent of the vibe we used to get from 90′s Hip Hop and R&B collabs like Mary J. Blige and Method Man’s “You’re All I Need To Get By” and Nas and Lauryn Hill’s “If I Ruled The World.”

While borrowing the beat from Tupac’s, “Got My Mind Made Up,” Kendrick drops a quick hot verse before Bridget takes over and sings about dreaming of a sweeter life.

I will not forget, fixating upon a faith I’ve never met
Explaining away all the reasons as I slept
So beautiful and here I wish I’d never left
I’d never know it was a lie

Oh Why, do I, have to return to reality
This time, I’ll try, I’ll try
Not to wake up from this dream
I won’t wake up from this dream

Bridget sounds INCREDIBLE on this track and Kendrick was a nice added touch.
