Ciara’s new album hits stores today and she’s very hot on the promo trail. Today, she stopped by ABC’s Good Morning America for a high-energy performance of ‘I’m Out,’ as well as a quick chat with Robin Roberts. Before hitting the stage, she dished:
[Michael Jackson] is my biggest influence. I feel like it’s important to me, with the gift that God has given me, to share my talents. If I can share what inspires me and what I love and just continue to keep my generation aware of the people who paved the way for artists like myself. Michael means so much.
Yesterday, she also stopped by BET’s 106 and Park to chat with Angela Simmons and Bow Wow, while revealing:
I’ve changed a lot. I did like self-reflection. I was like, ‘You gotta live more. You gotta turn up more. You gotta let go more.’ […] I was really vulnerable and allowed myself to do that. I think you have to do that to grow. You kinda gotta embrace your [fears]. You have to run towards your fears. Embrace your pain. Go towards the things that make you uncomfortable. I really don’t like being uncomfortable. So this time around I really challenged myself. I needed that.
