Senna director Asif Kapadia, helps to portray the woman who describes herself as not wanting to be a star, but simply as a “girl who sings”. Amy Winehouse died at age 27 due to alcohol poisoning in 2011, and left fans heartbroken. A release date has not been set yet for the documentary, but has been getting reviews and praise at The Cannes Film Festival.
