DJ R to Da IZZA Bio
Hailing from the one of the nation’s most soulful cities, Philadelphia, Pa., Raheem “DJ R to Da IZZA” Palmer has emerged as one of the area’s top DJ’s. With a vast musical knowledge, his sets include an eclectic blend of Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Old School, Reggae, Club, and Top 40 hits.

As a self-taught DJ who began at the age of 17, DJ R to Da IZZA was heavily influenced by DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Kid Carpi DJ Clue, DJ Scratch, and Cosmic Strictly Skillz Kev, not only because of their musical prowess but because of their industry dominance.  As such, R to Da began building a name for himself within the Philadelphia area and beyond, successfully rocking crowds at various night clubs and colleges in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and the nation’s capital.

R to Da was 17 when he started gaining respect in the streets for his release of exclusive mixtapes from industry heavyweights as well as new underground artists.

R to Da’s passion continued throughout his tenure at the University of Pennsylvania, where he later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School of Business.  As a Penn student, R to Da solidified himself as the go-to DJ for university events in the area and expanded his network.

R to Da has performed the opening sets for Elliot Ness from Diddy’s “Making the Band” series, Gillie Da Kid, Gym Class Heroes and Ludacris.  He’s also worked recording artists such as Capone-N-Noreaga, Raekwon, Ace Hood and Star Trak’s Roscoe P. Coldchain.

R to Da’s work ethic has become a full-time grind, with expanded technical skills, robust musical selection and a formidable stage presence.
